More notice needed for
More notice needed for Remembrance Sunday road closures
“Less than a week’s notice has been given for a major road through Worcester and there are absolutely no other signs anywhere else in Worcester warning drivers of the road closure so the only time they’ll be aware of the road closure is when they come across it.”

The proximity to the Transport Research Labs at Crowthorne means that the area often gets weird new stuff.

I’ll take your word for it but I am sorry to say that, after recent sentencing outcomes, a not guilty for a lorry driver due to blind spots and some of the excuses some police forces are coming up with for NFA, my faith in road policing in this counrty has been sorely tested.

“A businessman who mowed down a group of teenagers with his 4×4 before reversing over one of them after becoming infuriated at them walking in the middle of the road has avoided jail.
He has two very young children aged one and four who rely on him as does his long suffering partner.”
He clams to have adhd – what hope for the children ?
He also has anger management problems but no mention of a driving ban!
“He had a recent diagnosis of ADHD which explains his impulsive behaviour, his irritability and his inability to control his emotions at times, which is really what happened on the occasion. Since then, he has sought to address that by seeing a psychologist.

This image (and subtitle) should be filed away by road.cc and used on every story touching on why we can’t afford active travel infra / normal working people can’t afford bikes / there just isn’t space for cycling / but the bike lobby is “taking over government” / can’t have bike sheds in gardens because not in keeping / but cyclists don’t follow rules (note no dropped kerb here) / there’s no bias against cycling in the media etc.
Much of motornormativity in a single image.
Note as well how the council has felt that they need to put double yellow lines between the cycle lane and the main carriageway…

Surely, the founder member of the hyper-junk press hasn’t let its readers down by failing to include ‘trapped in their homes’?! Naturally, I’m not intending to find out directly
