Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Beginning to think we need a new thread for “car overturns…” stories – a bit like the original CCIB theme, you just start noticing story after story where you didn’t before.

    Plea for road safety measures

Plea for road safety measures after car crashes into home

perhaps the driver should give up their home in situations like this where they have rendered someone else homeless?

“The family had to leave their bungalow immediately due to the structural damage and have only just moved back in after five months of living out of suitcases, and fear for their safety.”

A … man was arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without consent, dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of a firearm without a certificate, fraud by false representation, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen.

He has been released under investigation.

Ha!  They’ll never see him again…

    The first dedicated Cost of

The first dedicated Cost of Living section I’ve seen, on this paper’s site. To this incident, well, since every car/van is driven by an honest grafter doing his best, just trying to feed his family (not remotely a middle aged man on a pleasure trip), I assume this was a workplace car share – innovative and thrifty – they finished a late shift at’mill at at 2 am and found a late night bar for a couple of drinks before starting out to drop off each worker back home but it all got out of hand.
