Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

    It’s a 30mph on the bridge,
It’s a 30mph on the bridge, and toll booth 4 is directly in line with the A38 eastbound lane from the tunnel, rather than the local traffic from Saltash.

Medical episode is a possibility, but falling asleep with cruise control locked on is more likely.

One question the police need to ask is how the car that crashed into Pizza Is Lovely managed to violently crash at such a velocity when the speed limit on the road is 20mph.

Obviously that’s due to the gravitational effect of the pizza.

I reckon the photographer for the oxmail article feels a bit wasted there, the arty shot of the police tape and the pic of the askew ring road sign.

    If you don’t want 1,600

If you don’t want 1,600 people a year to die from road violence, that’s an anti-car crusade.

Did anyone pop on and say “probably avoiding a cyclist”, or  “you don’t know that it wasn’t a medical episode”?

looks like there is some police action here.

Driver’s mum reported to be “annoyed” as she needed it for work this morning.

I liked the reference to an

I liked the reference to an earlier “car flips” episode

“The collision comes just over three years after a woman had to be freed from the car she was driving after it flipped onto its roof near to the shops.”

    And this caputres the

And this caputres the fundamental issue. If drivers are not held accountable we keep on wasting life, money, resources, time. Nobody learns and nobody improves.

Drivers should always be held accountable, with prosecution for driving offences, unless they can prove there was another causal factor.

Motorbikes count in this too right ? https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/25220635.motorbike-involved-collision-princes-street-ipswich/ Though how does a motorbike hit a traffic light that hard to move it and still be rideable?

Do you get the feeling the rider was taking the piss:

Police said the bike had a false registration plate, which read S59 RTA, when it fled the scene at about 10.20pm on Wednesday.

Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 primarily deals with the anti-social use of vehicles and grants police the power to seize vehicles that are being used in a manner that causes or is likely to cause alarm, distress, or annoyance to the public.

Yet another example of railway bridges crashing into self-driving lorries! We must put a stop to this transport war.
