    After another day of high scores, a chance for ‘hit and hope’ again. Martin? van Garderen? Velits? Castroviejo? I reckon Spilak may pull out all the stops, too. David Harmon believes Henao can TT. Ha Ha, guess we’ll see.

    I didnt even notice he was riding otherwise would have gone with him over Castro, but my team looks strong apart from betancurt. Think Weening will do well

    Its not really brave, I just fancied a go – my usual policy is that if I can’t win with one stage left, I may as well have some fun and try something different!

    There maybe logic, but i do think your brave sticking with both Quintana and Henao. I think Martin will top 5 even if he doesn’t win and thus score more points than either of those 2 riders (potentially more than both put together if they have a disasater). I think they will end up 7-10 on GC and will be outside the top 15 on the stage. On of them may hit the fringes of the top 10 with the ITT of there life

    I had another good day yesterday, but red arrows due to my silly error of bringing in Peraud despite his crash at the finish line that I temporarily forgot about. 😕

    I’ve gone with the guys in form, rather than concentrate too hard on picking TT specialists – might be the wrong tactic but it is pretty lumpy…

    So I’ve not picked Martin, with the safety net that he’s in my purist team. So if he does well, I might make the purist top 10, and if he does badly I might overhaul a few people and make the standard top 10! There’s logic in there somewhere folks…

    After a good start my team suffered from:

    1)No Henao
    2)Stuck with Cunego too long
    3)Gamble on Schleck(could have afforded Betancur)

    I think the performances today will be heavily influenced by motivation…..i.e Peter Velits has the skills to top 5 but will he bother?
