After another day of high scores, a chance for ‘hit and hope’ again. Martin? van Garderen? Velits? Castroviejo? I reckon Spilak may pull out all the stops, too. David Harmon believes Henao can TT. Ha Ha, guess we’ll see.

Does a tie for equal first on a stage not count as a podium? I don’t think I’ll ever get close again!

I think they then count number of transfers as count back?

Just checked in – not too
Just checked in – not too bad! Right to keep Henao (I thought it looked lumpy) – a penalty transfer for Martin would’ve only got me one extra point. Martin got my purist team up to 8th in the tour, with standard 17th – can’t complain, considering a couple of rank bad transfers yesterday!

    Anyone knows what’s the
Anyone knows what’s the matter with Fuglsang? Gifted TT’er gets blasted away by three Colombians… And was I thinking that the Fugel had everything to proof after getting dumped from the tour squad last year. I know, different team, but still. Glad I didn’t play him. Same applies to Zubeldia, but maybe he’s just getting old?

    Scores updating.
    151 and 152

    Scores updating.

151 and 152 for me today, should be enough to secure my top 10 in the purist league but my standard campaign kind of went off the rails pretty early on.

    It hasn’t just been Sky
It hasn’t just been Sky though, when he can’t keep up with the likes of Quintana and Betancurt he must be worried. Being beaten over a week by Froome is one thing, being beaten by Quintana, Porte, Henao and Spilak is another.

Froome must be favourite for the tour and I might even rank Rodriguez higher than Contador now.

I am surprised that Porte couldn’t wrap it up but Quintana did well and deserves the win.

After this though I honestly can’t see Contador winning the Tour, he doesn’t look strong in the mountains or against the clock any more and really needs to improve quite quickly. Wonder where all of that ability went…

Beef just isn’t what it used to be! But seriously don’t write him off yet. His TT was a bit better today. It’s still 2 months and he may be timing it well.

Contador must be sick of the sight of Sky jerseys riding away from him! đŸ™‚
