After another day of high scores, a chance for ‘hit and hope’ again. Martin? van Garderen? Velits? Castroviejo? I reckon Spilak may pull out all the stops, too. David Harmon believes Henao can TT. Ha Ha, guess we’ll see.

Sanchez did nothing! Not in GC! No full house I’m afraid. I had Ulissi so no full house for me either! :”( but still did well enough I think. At least 180 I should think!

I am surprised that Porte couldn’t wrap it up but Quintana did well and deserves the win.

After this though I honestly can’t see Contador winning the Tour, he doesn’t look strong in the mountains or against the clock any more and really needs to improve quite quickly. Wonder where all of that ability went…

    1245715 on stage. 1234 GC.
1245715 on stage. 1234 GC. Plus points for Didier and Txurruka. Better last stage than I thought! Been a good race with something a bit unexpected at the end! Now there’s less doping the natural advantages of the Columbians are beginning to show! Can’t beat training at altitude when you are young and are genetically predisposed towards using oxygen efficiently! I really thought Porte had it in the bag but the TT suited the climbers with only Martin doing really well!

Most of my transfers were poor, was right to drop Contador but should have kept Peraud, also should have brought in Intxausti/Spilak rather than Malori/Castroviejo who were disappointing.

Oh, well, cracking race right to the finish.
