Ultegra rx clutch derailleur

    Fitted ultegra rx clutch derailleur but have no idea how to tune it in. It’s not going on number 11 cog even with slack cable and I don’t think it’s going on number 1 cog aswell. Can any help with set up. Thanks

    Do the limit screws first,
    Do the limit screws first, without cable. You need the H screw set so that the derailleur is very slightly outboard of the bike. Set the L screw so the chain cant go over the top of the biggest sprocket; everything vertically parallel.

    Now attach the cable, with the shifter fully released, and the cable slack taken out. Then tune the action by adding a bit of tension via the barrel aduster.

    if it doesn’t drop onto sprocket 11 with a slack cable, then the limit screw is too high, if it also doesn’t go onto sprocket 1 then the cable may be too slack, or the other limit screw might be wrong.
