What are you are aiming for next year ?
For me it is building up to June when I do two hard sportives (both 160km and 2500m of climbing) and 3 days in the Alps climbing all the main Cols.
After that and some rest will prob go for TT’s for the rest of the year.

This will be my first full year cycling. so goals for me, first tonne under my belt. join a cycling club, get a sportif done. lastly attend the L’Erorica in the peaks. Last year was amazing. Mainly just get out and enjoy the road.Yorkshie Whippet

Persuade myself that Paris-Roubaix Challenge for the 4th year running is not a good idea.
Hoping to get an entry into Tour of Yorkshire Sportive and likewise with Tour of Cambridge.

I answered this question at the end of 2012 and stated that I wanted to hit 10000 miles in 2013, I didn’t but I did this year with a month to spare so next year I’m going to chill i.e. back down to 8500 and run a bit more.Bedfordshire Clanger

Plans for the forthcoming
Plans for the forthcoming year include first attempt at the grande route on the Dartmoor Classic. Did medio this year so a big step up for me. Going to have a right good go at smashing the short route of Velothon Wales. First full year riding for the club and I am hoping to do my first time trials ever and in club colours.chokofingrz

Go into CX season with reasonable fitness and get a better result in the local league than this year. Maybe change to a SS bike.
EDIT: not forgetting the kids, find more oportunities for my little girl to ride and race her balance bike.

I want to join a cycling club, have a bash at time trialing, ride my first century and try my hand at cyclocross next year. Oh and maybe try some microadventures and ultra light weekend touring.Pretty small stuff but you have to start somewhere.

Isunrise on HaleakalaI tried this, set of from Paia at 3am laughably thinking I could do the climb in 3.5 hours. 5.5 hours of climbing later I made the top having missed the sunrise, although I was treated to an hour’s descending in glorious sunshine with the friendliest drivers I’ve ever shared a road with (lots of ‘fasi’s being shown out of windows, and people pulling over to let you past).
If I was doing it again I’d ride up for sunset, means descending in dusk but you’ll see the sunset for most of the descent.
If you’re planning to go up with a guided group, beware, I don’t think they will let you ride down from the top, and the bikes they give you are heinous. Better to get a friend to drive you (I couldn’t persuade my girlfriend to drive me up even if I’d wanted her to).
