    160 miles of rolling terrain before a cat 2 climb to finish. Tough one to call, like yesterday!

    No changes from me (I fancy Battaglin & EBH but can’t fit them in, and saving the transfers), but what about YOU!?

    Bit of historic resonance for me too; my grandad fought at Montecassino in WWII and was also a passionate cyclist & clubman (had his own shop, in fact). If he was still around I’m sure he’d be satisfied to see the battle’s 70th anniversary commemorated with a great bike race.

    Is fairing a lot better now.
    Managed to Avoid KITTEL and went MATTHEWS (who? honestly expected this). Avoided ARREDONDO. Got MONSLAVE as my KOM chance and he seems to be having a go.
    KELDERMAN survived fall and MAJKA lost 15mins,
    Avoided MAJKA …PHEW and NEIMEIC ( who lost another 1.57 to 3.41 min GC) . SCARPONI lost bit over a min, but he had a little bit of breathing room already. BONGOIRNO (5min) , PURITO(9min) GONEEEEEE …..
