    Last year it was possible to find out whether you got a place in the ballot by logging in to your account and seeing if your application had been cancelled or not.

    The same link for this year still takes you to the 2013 page…….so……. does anyone have the equivalent link to manage your account for this year? Or know of another way to circumvent waiting for the postman?.

    I got my acceptance magazine
    I got my acceptance magazine yesterday too, after breaking in and seeing I was approved.

    I’m very excited now.

    I got in, and I had not even
    I got in, and I had not even applied! Got a shock when the magazine arrived. Did not even know there had been an application process. I had applied last year though and not got in, so it seems they rolled over my application. So those who did not get in this year have a better chance next year.

    Great another effing failure magazine to go with the bloody one they sent me when unsuccessful for last years London marathon -talk about rubbing it in!
    Personally it I dont get into an event to which I have applied I have not wish to read a glossy magazine spouting on a bout It. Plus the additional expense of these tens of thousands of publications are a waste.

    You needed Id to pick up your
    You needed Id to pick up your number etc the days before but loading into the start waves on the day was pretty anarchic. Plenty of people turning up at the wrong time or location to ride with their mates. The sheer number of people meant they couldn’t police it.

    From what was said above I believe you can nominate someone else to pick up your rider pack anyway, and thats only when they check IDs.

    If I have indeed got a place I wont be using it as it clashes with my wedding anniversary.

    @Andycoventry, no, looked into this last year and paces are not exchangeable.

    Yes, it’s possible to ride as someone else, the only point you’re checked for id is when registering in person to get your race number at excel or wherever -so to get around this the entrant would sign the form to nominate someone to collect the race number and pack on their behalf.

    I guess the only problem with doing that is in the event of an accident and they need to identify you.
