Had the same problem with my daughters, the younger one has such small hands that mitts are practically full finger on her anyway, but she always wanted full finger gloves because her hands got cold.
She has some unpadded ones now, but I can’t remember who they are by – probably get home and find that she has lost ’em.
Had a quick root around though and Chain Reaction seem to have a few (they are a bit padded, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing) – the Chibas look a good buy, and the Lizard Skins sound pretty close to what you are after.
