Specialized S-Works Venge Video Review - £9,750 of carbon aero sleekness

David rides Specialized's £9,750 aero disc-equipped race bike

It's not cheap and it doesn't come in any other colours except black, but it is very very fast. The new Specialized S-Works Venge is one of the fastest bikes I've ever ridden, as I explain in this video above.

You can also read my in-depth review of the new bike here if you want more ride impressions on the performance, handling and build kit of this seriously top-end race bike.

In case you missed the launch of this new bike, it's the third-generation aero bike from the US company and is lighter, faster and better handling than the previous model. It's also designed entirely around disc brakes and electronic gears. Sorry rim brake and mechanical groupset fans. You can read all the juicy details here.

It's also exceedingly expensive with a price tag of £9,750 for this S-Works model with Dura-Ace Di2 and Roval CLX 64 wheels. If that's too much, then how about the £6,500 Ultegra model? It shares the same frame and handlebar but different parts to make it a little more affordable.

David worked on the road.cc tech team from 2012-2020. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes
