We got an up close and personal look at some of the star bikes in Cannondale’s 2017 range earlier today when Cannondale UK’s Clive Gosling joined us for a Facebook Live chat on the road.cc sofa. Clive showed us the new SuperSix Evo Disc, the ‘New road/All road/adventure bike (delete as applicable) Slate, and the Super X cyclo-cross bike as well as fielding questions from you, and us.
The two bikes couldn’t be more different, but they’re both road bikes at their heart. The newly updated Supersix Evo Disc is one of the latest race bikes to be given the disc brake treatment. You can read all about the bike in Tony’s first ride from earlier in the year right here.

Right at the other end of the road bike spectrum is the Slate. It’s one of the most unusual and interesting new bikes we’ve seen in recent years, with its Lefty fork providing 30mm of suspension travel and 40mm tyres on 650b wheels. You can read all about it here.

For those of us who don’t and
For those of us who don’t and won’t do Facebook, will a recording be available after the event elsewhere?
I’d be interested to know if Cannondale see the Slate’s design informing future ‘new road’ (to use their terminology) models with a more touring, less gravel-racing bent? Something incorporating racks and guards perhaps like their urban contro models, but retaining the speedier aspirations of the slate.

Maybe you could embed it in an updated version of the post … oh, what’s that? you have? Thanks!
