Enigma marks 10th anniversary with new £11,000 Exemplar titanium road bike

And launches new Skinny brand of traditionally manufactured steel frames

If you’re heading to the Bespoked show in Bristol this weekend, make sure to swing by the Enigma stand to take a closer look at the new Exemplar Limited Edition, a bike that has been created to celebrate the British company’s 10th anniversary and will be shown in this stunning £11,000 build.

The new Exemplar is made at the company’s manufacturing facility in Hailsham, East Sussex. It's based on the existing Excel but constructed from a brand new 6AL-4V tubeset. A key feature of this new tubeset is an oversize 44mm down tube that is said to “elevate the performance of the frame to a new level” which is certainly an impressive claim indeed.

Enigma has built up this new frame with some top-end components to create a £10,999 build. A Campagnolo Super Record groupset, Enve fork, rims and seatpost with a custom finish to match the paint job of the frame, Chris King R45 hubs and headset and a Pro Stealth Evo handlebar, again painted to match the frame.

That’s not all. Enigma is using Bespoked to launch its new brand called Skinny. Engima is committed to training the next generation of British frame builders and provides courses and apprenticeships. The frames made by these builders will be sold under the Skinny label. We don't have any photos of these new frames, we'll be seeing them for the first time at the Bespoked show.

Each frame is made from Columbus Zone triple butted tubing and uses the traditional lugged method.

“All Skinny frames are made by our young frame builders who have been trained to build not only great looking frames that ride beautifully, but frames that are properly and accurately constructed, perfectly aligned and finished,” says Enigma.

While it hasn’t released any details on pricing yet, it reckons they’ll “represent extraordinary value for money”.

Not as deep as the pockets needed to afford it...
