The Scicon Aeroscope glasses have a decent lens, with very little in the way of fogging, adjustable arms that should fit any head shape, and an awesome lifetime lens warranty. The frame doesn’t feel like it quite matches the lens quality, in my opinion, although it’s worth noting it’s made using ‘ecologically produced, bio-based’ material.
For your £195, along with the glasses themselves you get a carry bag, which can double up as a saddle bag, plus a clear lens. Changing the lens is an easy process once you’ve done it once or twice.
I’ve found the glasses comfortable to wear, and they store well in some of my helmets, which is handy, and the adjustable arm length means it’s easy to fit these to any head shape.
It’s worth noting that the frame sat just inside my eyeline when looking over my shoulder, something also Stu found when he reviewed a pair of Aeroscopes in 2023, with a different lens colour. It’s quite chunky just where you need to see, which is a bit of a pain, and takes a small adjustment to get around.
Wearing these on the bike, the Multimirror Blue lens is really good for the most part, though it isn’t quite tinted enough to deal with direct sunlight and could sometimes leave me a little blinded.
The clear lens is a good option for dingy days, and gives a nice cheery shade to the world with its slight rosy tint.
Occasionally there have been some weird internal reflections on both lenses, but it’s not caused any real distractions.
They’re not the most vented glasses I’ve worn, and I’ve found myself wiping sweat out of my eyes a little more often than I’d prefer. Stu liked the lack of airflow on his eyes, but personally I would like a little more to help with the sweat.
One thing I can’t complain about is the lifetime warranty Scicon offers on its lenses, saying it will replace them if you scratch them, which I think is absolutely awesome, allowing frames to outlive the lenses they originally come with.
After all, they’re not cheap at £195, though they’re not as expensive as some, like the Oakley Katos, now £271. Oakley does make cheaper options, such as the Sutros at £159, and I think the Oakley frames are better quality, more premium feeling, but the bonus with the Scicons is the inclusion of the second lens, along with the impressive lens warranty.

Unlike Stu when he reviewed a pair of these with a different lens in 2023, I wasn’t especially impressed with how the frame felt – it didn’t live up to the lens quality.
How does the price compare to that of similar products in the market, including ones recently tested on road.cc?
They’re up there with the likes of Oakley, and with the Scicons you get a second lens, but they don’t match the premium frame quality of some rivals in my opinion.

They performed pretty well, with a few features that some of their competitors don’t have. The price is certainly up there, but the inclusion of the lifetime warranty on the lens – and a spare clear lens – are bonuses. The quality of the lens is high, too, but I felt this was let down a little by the feel of the frame, and the way it can intrude into your eyeline.
