Cracking cool weather jersey, with looks that many would pay a hell of a lot more for

Dhb's Blok Micro Roubaix jersey mixes great looks and comfort with a very low price, but it's a better choice for milder days than a killer cold weather top.

I like to think of this jersey as one I would use primarily during sunny but chilly autumn/spring and mild winter day rides. The outer jersey material is basically what you find on your average summer top, and this is then backed with fleecy Roubaix material. It's a great combo that works on chilly mornings, but don't expect it to perform as well in properly cold weather.

The higher-than-average collar, and overlapping material behind the full length zip give a little extra protection against biting wind.

In terms of the fit, the medium size was bang on the money for me, staying nicely fitted to my midriff while having enough arm length to avoid any exposed skin around the wrists.

The back of the jersey doesn't extend down your bum like some jerseys do, which doesn't really bother me, but if you ride without any protection against rear wheel spray in the wet, it might be more of an issue.

The jersey has the standard arrangement of three rear pockets, plus an extra zipped secure one. I found the zips a little fiddly and – while I didn't have any issues on test – they didn't feel like the most secure I've ever used.

Where this jersey really shines is in the price department. I can't think of another jersey that looks quite this good for quite such a low a price – and at the moment it's reduced to £27. I would buy one in a heartbeat. And that pretty much sums up the Blok Jersey for me: great performance at an even better price.

The zips don't feel completely robust, but I'm nitpicking and they could well last the distance.
