The Ride Tec Jersey is a solid, no-nonsense garment from i-ride, with a full complement of staple features such as UV protection, flat lock stitching, and some discrete reflectivity, but also with a couple of gems including vented underarms for additional cooling power.
It's a lightweight jersey that does a respectable job of keeping its shape when the rear pockets are loaded. There are three of them, plus a zipped pocket (with reflective fabric on the zip), avoiding excessive sagging when moderately weighed down, so you can put your tubes and mid-ride malt-loaf in them.
The main body is a polyester/elastane mesh mix which is both stretchy and nicely wicking, but the sleeves are a real treat. Apparently they are NORTEX Interpower sleeves, which to you and me means really tight and super wicking, removing sweat rapidly. The sleeves are slightly longer than traditional ones, keeping it nicely on-trend without going to the elbow, with a 1cm, cuff at the end, they look and feel really snug. If you are particularly muscley in the arm department, you may want to pop down the local bike shop and try before you buy; you may well need to consider going up a size due to the snugness.
The mesh mix isn't visible like va-va Froome, but it's noticeably airy, letting the breeze in nicely. A word of caution, though: keep the jersey away from Velcro, it doesn't appreciate contact. It also doesn't lend itself to more than one wearing between washes, with nasty niffs staying in overnight.
A full length zipper, complete with garage for a chafe-free neck, finishes the jersey and rounds out a solid feature set.
In use the jersey is comfortable, wicking and very smart, in an understated way.
I've enjoyed wearing the Ride Tec Jersey, it works well and certainly looks nice. Its £60 price tag outs it in a popular range; 75% of our jersey reviews of the last three months are within £10 of it, if you are shopping in this price range then it's certainly worth adding to your short list.
Verdict
Good range of features and solid comfort level; well priced

The jewel in this particular crown is really the sleeves. They are super stretchy and fast wicking NORTEX Interpower sleeves, with a mesh underneath. I found them very comfortable and they help set the jersey apart from its competitors in this price range.
