Tifosi Rostra Disc Tiagra 2022
£1499.00

The Rostra Disc impressed us not just with its polished finish but also with its ride quality, versatility and geometry. The Tifosi slots into a gap between road bikes and gravel bikes coming in at a competitive price.

It would be remiss to not mention the 'ever-popular CK7' and this aluminium alloy Rostra has plenty of similarities. The main difference is that the Rostra has an additional 5mm of tyre clearance meaning that whilst it's still easy to love as an all-season commuting, winter or audax machine it's now capable of dabbling in some gravel as well.

Mounts for full mudguards, rear rack and three bottle cages, including the top one having multiple positions to accommodate frame bags, means that this bike is just about as versatile as anything else out there. There are certainly lighter bikes out there but the Tifosi is in the right ballpark for its price and handles it well.

The geometry is well thought out with an endurance road bike kind of feel, comfortable, reassuringly stable but still surprisingly fun. The aluminium frame soaks up road buzz akin to far more expensive frames of this material and the Shimano Tiagra groupset is as reliable as ever providing accurate shifting.

Bikes that try to do more than one thing i.e. road and gravel can sometimes feel like a compromise in both sectors. However, the Rostra is a very good road bike in its own right, balancing speed and comfort whilst being good enough off-road to add an extra dimension to your riding.
