Bradley Wiggins commemorative stamp available by tomorrow

Rushed around the country as souvenir to celebrate gold medal win

If you've screamed yourself hoarse at the TV (or even better, down at the time trial) for Wiggins's gold medal today, get a little souvenir of the day's action with a special edition Royal Mail stamp commemorating the win - which are available from tomorrow lunchtime.

This is Team GB’s second gold medal moment at London 2012, and the second stamp that Royal Mail has produced within 24 hours, having pledged to print a set for every gold won at these Games.

The other commemorated Helen Glover and Heather Stanning winning the gold medal in the Women’s Pairs Rowing final.

A fleet of 90 Royal Mail vehicles are whizzing across the country as we speak, to deliver the stamps across the UK to over 500 Post Offices tomorrow morning to be on sale by lunchtime.

Bradley’s stamps will be available tomorrow at the Post Office on Cleveland Street in Bradley’s home town of Chorley. Royal Mail will also paint a Post Box gold to celebrate his win.

The six first class stamps are £3.60 (no more than normal), and can also be bought online at Royal Mail.

Gary Lineker presented Wiggins with a huge blow-up version of the stamp on BBC One tonight. With his usual dry wit, the superstar responded: "But everyone just emails these days, don't they?"
