Jumbo Visma rider becomes first Slovenian to win a Grand Tour

Primoz Roglic of Jumbo Visma has become the first Slovenian to win a Grand Tour - and with his compatriot Tadej Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates taking the best young rider's competition, the country's flags were very conspicuous on the streets of Madrid today. Both safely negotiated a final stage that mirrors that of the Tour de France, a relaxed procession into the heart of the capital ahead of a the final circuit, where Deceuninck Quick Steps's Fabio Jakobsen won the sprint.
