225 Dartmoor Classic places for Devon riders

The Dartmoor Classic Cyclosportive, which takes places on the 28th of June is filling up fast with most of the 1500 places already gone… although you might still be able to sign up if you live in Devon.

225 places on the event have been reserved for Devon County Council's TravelWise Initiative. To qualify for a TravelWise place first, you have to live in Devon (well, that seems only fair) and second you have to have to register by the end of March. The idea is to encourage Devonians who occasionally ride short distances to take on the 62 mile challenge as a way of making cycling a bigger part of their lifestyle.

The Dartmoor Classic enjoys a high reputation for its level of organisation and in particular the efficiency of the even marshalling and the quality of its feed stations.

The ‘Depart Village’ for this year's Classic will be at the Abbrook Park Sports & Social Club, in Kingsteignton, which will play host to a number of attractions and live music to send the riders on their way and to welcome them back after a challenging day in the saddle.
