Video: Rider does amazing backflip over Tour de Pologne peloton

Red Bull-sponsored mountain bike slopestyler Szymon Godziek pulls off spectacular stunt during final stage

Red Bull-sponsored slopestyle mountain biker Szymon Godziek pulled off a spectacular stunt at the Tour de Pologne this week - by switching to a road bike and doing a backflip over the peloton.

He pulled off the stunt, which was filmed from multiple angles, early into the final stage of the race from Bukowina Tatrzanska.

We've seen similar stunts before at road races - remember French mountain biker Romain Marandet who jumped over the Tour de France, including race leader Chris Froome, in 2013?

Friday's closing stage of the Tour de Pologne was won by Wout Poels of Team Sky, with the overall going to Dylan Teuns of BMC Racing.

I love all the crazy stuff Red Bull do, but no amount of back flipping over peletons could compel me to drink that muck.

So you never drink any fizzy sugary drinks or coffee then?

Red Bull does have an interesting taste, and it certainly isn't something you should be drinking loads of, but you could say the same about cola or coffee.

Biggest issue I have with Red Bull is the price, and the fact that little is done to limit consumption by children (I regularly see school kids down cans of the cheap equivilents during lunch breaks).

As for the stunt, pretty cool, particularly as he did it on a road bike and landed it.

The supermarket nearest my office, which is also near a couple of local secondary schools, has actually age-restricted all of those high caffeine drinks (Red Bull, Monster, etc etc).  It did throw me a little the first time, when the 'serve yourself' machine called for help when I tried to buy one.  Apparently the store had decided to make a stand because the schools had complained, with all the kids stopping in to sugar up and make sure they were sufficiently caffeinated before school started...

I'd say thats quite a responsible attitude. Unfortunatly round my way they dont do this an seem to knock back cans like water, I tried a small can, bar tasting like super sugary calpol it left me feeling pretty unwell after from the amount of sugar an caffine.
