Glad to see Bez has taken up a healthy hobbby.
Wow if I had to anticipate a ford like the one crossed by the pair of cyclist, I would definitely get off my bike and lift it in order to avoid submerging pedals, BB and maybe hubs. Once that I did it, the next day the pedals squealed quite loudly. Never opened them, though to see any real damage, I replaced them soon afterwards.
Does this mean you'll all stop worrying about whether you can ride disc brake bikes in European Gran Fondos?
