Police in Wales are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist taking part in a time trial was hospitalised when a passenger in a car apparently leant out of the window and pushed him off his bike.
The BBC reports that the victim, who comes from Northwich, Cheshire, was participating in a time trial on the A451 at Hundred House, near Llandrindod Wells last Saturday afternoon, was left with a broken hip and collarbone.
Superintendent Huw Meredith of Dyfed-Powys Police said: "I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time who saw anything suspicious, or has any information about this incident, to contact police immediately".
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at around 3.45pm, is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101, or alternatively can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Argh.
There was an outbreak of this sort of twattery down south (Kent?) a while back – one bloke left with serious spinal injuries as I recall. Hopefully the police will a) catch the c***s responsible and b) render them unable to drive, preferably in a painful way.

You recall right, John. The man was left with such serious injuries that he has been unable to work since the incident (he was a roofer) and, last I read, has been in and out of depression. Don’t know whether they caught the parasite that did it. Hope the cops catch these scumbags.

Too right, John to take
Too right, John to take Alaskan Rob’s analogy a stage further if there had been a series of incidents involving drivers being rammed off the road by someone in another car the police would have taken things more seriously then too.
I would imagine that had this
I would imagine that had this been a pedestrian who was attacking cyclists as they passed, the police would be doing something about it. It’s another example of the car taking away all personal responsibility.
