I would imagine that had this been a pedestrian who was attacking cyclists as they passed, the police would be doing something about it. It's another example of the car taking away all personal responsibility.
Too right, John to take Alaskan Rob's analogy a stage further if there had been a series of incidents involving drivers being rammed off the road by someone in another car the police would have taken things more seriously then too.
Chaps, found this from one of the people assaulted in Kent (in 2008).
Police response is, frankly, disgraceful (trying very hard not to swear here).

What goes around comes around - this idiot will get whats coming to him one way or another - it's called Karma
yes, that's an annoying little quirk of this site that we've so far been unable to cure
Argh.
There was an outbreak of this sort of twattery down south (Kent?) a while back - one bloke left with serious spinal injuries as I recall. Hopefully the police will a) catch the c***s responsible and b) render them unable to drive, preferably in a painful way.
You recall right, John. The man was left with such serious injuries that he has been unable to work since the incident (he was a roofer) and, last I read, has been in and out of depression. Don't know whether they caught the parasite that did it. Hope the cops catch these scumbags.
Incidentally, that should be a b in a bracket, not that sunglasses smiley.
