Rollapaluza - final two rounds of National series announced

Good Friday date for London finale

Roller-racing crew Rollapaluza have announced details of the final two rounds of their National roller-racing series as well as the date and venue of the National Finale in London.

TV21, in Manchester is the place to head for on February 26 (7pm-11pm, £5 to race or spectate) while Southampton will enjoy the thrills and spills the following day, Feb 28, at the Sporting View. This event is free to see or enter, and it's hosted by cycling commentator Anthony McCrossan.

Each of these events is a standalone Rollapaluza event so expect the usual atmosphere, Rollapaluza DJs and sporting competition. The fastest riders from each round will be invited to compete at the finale and all are welcome to come and try the Rollapaluza rigs. The National Series has already seen rounds in the West country (Bristol), Wales (Swansea) and the South East (London) and the team hope to expand the series for the 2010/2011 Winter season.

The National Finale will be held on Good Friday, April 2, at the Half Moon Pub in Herne Hill, London (£5 to race or spectate). During the day the famous Good Friday Meeting which every year features domestic and international track stars will draw crowds to Herne Hill Velodrome, then as the light fades it will be a very short walk to the Half Moon pub where the finale of the Rollapaluza National Series takes place and the UK's "king of spin" and "queen of cadence" will be crowned.
