British bike clothing brand Vulpine is holding its first physical (as opposed to online) sample sale in London starting this Friday and running until Sunday.
Vulpine promise big discounts of up to 80% across a broad range of clothing including merino wool items, jackets, trousers and accessories. This includes gear for both winter and summer and for both sexes, and it covers different sizes and colours.
“We expect there to be a mad dash at the beginning of Friday to grab the best bargains, calming down a bit after Friday lunchtime,” says Vulpine founder Nick Hussey.
“Rapha’s sample sales usually end of with near riots, and judging by how our online sales go, I’m expecting some sort of friendly cycling cataclysm ourselves!”

The Vulpine sample sale takes place at Shop 7, Dray Walk, The Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL.
The opening times are:
Friday 30 January 10am – 7pm
Saturday 31 January 10am – 7:30pm
Sunday 1 February 11am – 5pm
In related news, Vulpine is teaming up with Sir Chris Hoy to launch a brand of cycling apparel called Hoy Vulpine. The new range includes bib shorts and race jerseys as well as commuter wear.
road.cc spent a couple of days last week with Vulpine and Sir Chris in Mallorca where they’d gone to shoot the clothing. We’ll give you more on the entire range on 9 February. The official launch is at The London Bike Show which runs 12-15 February.

I don’t see the point of these sales that ultimately devalue the brand.

Sales don’t devalue the brand. You might feel like you’ve spent too much on something, though. Personally, I always try to avoid paying full price for anything. I don’t think there’s anything I want so much that I need to.
I’d be there in a heartbeat.

Stable pricing helps a stable economy, but bartering and negotiation should really be how you get a bargain. Knowing the value of something is actually an asset.

I don’t think we have to be exclusive, sales all over would be great (Bristol suits me, though). If only there was a way people from all areas could access the sale without having to travel to London…I’ve heard talk of something called “The Internet” that could possibly do this but it might be science fiction. 😉

Can you stop telling people about this please? For one thing when I sneak a bagful of goodies home tomorrow it will ruin my claims of ‘had it for ages’.

Looks like my timing for a trip to London this weekend was worth it, and with a boosted pay packet from me being paid all the holidays I couldn’t take when I was off sick last year.
