The Cycle Show 2014 preview part 2: Colnago, Pinarello, Bianchi, Trek, Fizik, Cube, Look, Storck and more

It's the Cycle Show this week, 26-28 September, at Birmingham's NEC and to give you a taste of what to expect if you're planning to attend, here are just a few examples of the bikes and products you'll be able to feast your eyes on.  Missed part one of our show preview?

Colnago C60 and V1-r

Italian company Colnago will be showing the C60, the bike we reviewed a couple of months ago, alongside their latest creation, the new V1-r aero road bike.

This is the first time the Italian company have offered an aero road bike, which are all the rage right now, and they worked with longtime partners Ferrari to develop this new model.

Bia​nchi Oltre XR1 and Infinito CV Disc

Sticking with the Italian theme, Bianchi will have some exotica to feast your eyes on, such as this new Oltre XR1, a bike made from the same mould as the top-end Oltre XR2, but using a lower grade of carbon fibre to reduce the price.

road.cc’s Bike of the Year 2013-14, the Bianchi Infinito CV, will be on display and there will the disc version of the bike, which actually launched a fair while ago but it’s now properly available, we had a good look at it at Eurobike and we can’t wait to swing a leg over it.

Fizik to show new shoe range R3 and R5

Fizik will be showing their brand new range of shoes, the first time they’ll be seen in the UK. Joining the existing handmade R1 shoes are the new R3 and R5 ranges, with a BOA dial and Velcro strap design. Head to Fizik’s stand and you’ll be able to try some shoes on for size.

Storck’s new Aerfast aero road bike

Revealed at Eurobike last month, Storck’s new aero road bike the Aerfast G1 will be sure to turn heads. There are all the typical aero features you’d expect, an integrated seatpost, compact rear triangle, internal cable routing and aero shaped tube profiles. It’s pretty light for an aero bike too at about 950g. 

Cube bring new new Litening C68 SLT to the show

German company Cube will be showing this latest version of the Litening C68 road bike, which while it looks familiar on the outside, there are many changes under the skin. They’ve introduced a new Spread Tow carbon fibre technology which they has allowed them to chop some weight out of the frame, they claim it now weighs a paltry 750g. That bike in the photo is just 6.4kg with a Dura-Ace groupset and Mavic wheels.

Dedacciai Atleta aero road bike to debut at show

The Cycle Show will be the first chance to see the new Atleta aero road bike model from Dedacciai. We don’t know a lot about this bike at the moment so we’ll be heading to the Chickens CycleKit stand to take a much closer look. As should you. We do know the frame will cost £1,349.

Cinelli shows revamped 2015 range

Look into the decals, not around the decals, look into the decals... Cinelli will be showing some classics alongside some redesigned models for 2015 but won't reveal more before the show. They always show some beautiful bikes, such as this bold Vigorelli, a track frame with a Columbus Airplane tubeset with a claimed 1,500g weight. 

Trek’s lightest ever road bike the Emonda

As well as providing the chance to see the customised road bike that Jens Voigt rode in his last road race, Trek will be showcasing their new Emonda, a bike that the US company claims is the lightest production road bike currently available. With a weight of 4.6kg for the top-end model it certainly has decent bragging rights. Trek will also have popular bikes like the Domane and Domane Disc on show too.

Pinarello F8

Centre of the Pinarello stage will of course be the bike Team Sky have been racing this season, and which delivered Chris Froome to second at the Vuelta a Espana. We’re talking about the F8 of course, which takes the Dogma line in a new direction of bicycle design, one that is concerned with aerodynamics.

Look 795 aero road bike

This is Look's brand new 795, an aero road bike coming in both an Aerolight version with the front brake integrated into the fork (shown here) and a Light version with regular brakes. Look are describing the 795 Aerolight as “the best aero road bike ever made.” You can read more about it here.
