New video from Inspired Bicycles showcases trials skills in Catalan capital

Barcelona – one of road.cc’s favourite cities to chill out in – seems to have become the go-to destination in Europe for car adverts in recent years, so it’s nice to have a video that redresses the balance by making the bicycle the star.

In this video from Inspired Bicycles, Danny MacAskill – who shot to fame with the brand’s 2009 film that has now been viewed more than 34 million times on YouTube alone – is joined by Ali Clarkson, Sean Watson and Duncan Shaw to run through their repertoire in the Catalan capital.

Locations range from Montjuic, home to much of the action in the 1992 Olympic Games that helped launch the city’s rejuvenation, to the seafront past the Olympic port.

Sit back and enjoy.

Born in Scotland, Simon moved to London aged seven and now lives in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with his miniature schnauzer, Elodie. He fell in love with cycling one Saturday morning in 1994 while living in Italy when Milan-San Remo went past his front door. A daily cycle commuter in London back before riding to work started to boom, he's been news editor at road.cc since 2009. Handily for work, he speaks French and Italian. He doesn't get to ride his Colnago as often as he'd like, and freely admits he's much more adept at cooking than fettling with bikes.
