Video: Six of the best spring clothing accessories - how to tackle unpredictable weather

Dressing for spring is all about long sleeve arm warmers, knee and arm warmers, gloves and rain jackets

Spring is a tricky time of year for cyclists, an unpredictable season of constantly changing weather patterns that makes dressing for a ride very tricky.

Versatility is the key and in this video we’ve picked six products that will help you tackle any weather you’re likely to encounter until the milder weather of summer arrives. We're talking things like arm warmers, long sleeve jerseys and windproof gloves.

These products have been reviewed recently at road.cc and are good examples of the key products that we consider important for any spring cycling outfit. There are many more products we could have included but then we’d be busting our six of the best theme and you’d all probably get bored of several hours of me waffling on, so do check the review archive over on the road.cc website for more products.

David worked on the road.cc tech team from 2012-2020. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes
