Ride Concepts has unveiled the fresh 2022 range, introducing two new models, giving existing shoes a fresh lick of paint and adding clip versions of some of the brand’s most popular shoes. There has also been further collaboration with Rubber Kinetics, and partnerships with D3O, Cordura, and BOA.

New to the Ride Concepts range are the Tallac and Flume shoes, available both in clip and flat pedal models. The Tallac and flume are designed to take on the biggest epics. Both shoes come with lace and BOA closures and the shoes introduce the brand’s partnership with Cordura. The shoes get a stitch-free upper that’s fully welded and said to be fully breathable and lightweight. These shoes make use of Ride Concepts’ CLIP GRIP rubber and a new adaptable outsole that transfers power to the pedals and features a long runway for easy clipping-in.

The Tallac and Flume shoes then benefit from compliant reverse hex traction areas at the heel and toe for when a bit of hike-a-bike is required. The Tallac Clip is the men’s model whereas the Flume is designed especially for women’s feet with each shoe getting its own colourway.

These shoes are also available without the cleat channel for flat pedals. Those models get all of the bells and whistles found on the clip versions but they employ the brand’s MAX GRIP rubber outsole.

Moving on, the Hellion Elite gets its fit dialed for both men and women. It makes use of the MAX GRIP rubber outsole and a recycled microfibre upper that comes perforated for ventilation. This one gets anti-abrasion panels at the heel and toe and D3O High Impact Zone tech to absorb impact and reduce fatigue.

There’s now a clip version of the Hellion too. It uses the fit and aesthetic of the much loved Hellion but Ride Concepts has added a hook and loop strap for a boost in security and the shoe uses the CLIP GRIP rubber compound. The Hellion Clip comes built with a 40mm cleat window with index marking offering generous amounts of adjustment, says the brand.

Along with those, the Livewire has been upgraded to run the MAX GRIP rubber outsole and the women’s specific Traverse has been introduced. It’s the enduro and downhill focussed shoe adopting the CLIP GRIP outsole, a wide cleat box, and a serrated, toe-shaped PowerDrive shank to boost power transfer.

Prices for Ride Concepts 2022 range start at £100 for the BMX orientated Vice and the figures go up to £200 for the Tallac and Flume Boa models.
