Team Garmin-Cervélo has finally revealed its 2011 kit, which sees Cervélo’s black dominate and Garmin’s orange disappear, with the latter’s signature argyle check relegated to some subtle detailing on neck, the left sleeve of the jersey, and left cuff of the short.
The kit is produced by Italian kit supplier Castelli, which made Cervélo’s 2010 kit – Garmin-Transitions was manufactured by Pearl Izumi, which fell out with team owner Slipstream Sports earlier this year, filing a lawsuit in which it alleged that Slipstream had infringed its intellectual property in relation to its ‘winged’ skinsuits.
The new jerseys were debuted earlier today in the opening round of the Jayco Bay Cycling Classic in Geelong, won by HTC-Columbia’s Matt Goss, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they come across on TV – we suspect there might be a little room for confusion with Team Sky in head-on bunch shots or in aerial views, mind you that big "é" will help as long as the riders are hunched down over the bars.
Castelli will be supplying Garmin-Cervélo’s riders with a full range of team kit including its nearly seamless Body Paint Speedsuit.

A bit ‘Team Sky’…
I agree, same colour scheme
I agree, same colour scheme as Sky. I’m surprised they haven’t put the riders names down the trunk

Hopefully we’ll get to see the green version on Thor’s back…

And the rainbow bands of the World Champion 🙂
Shame.
The argyle should have
Shame.
The argyle should have been kept more prominently. It does look like a variation of team sky. I know the old garmin kit was a bit, well, of an aquired taste but thats what made it rgeat, it was unique.
Glad I snapped the old one up
Glad I snapped the old one up when it was cheap at the end of last season !
Not just the rainbow bands on
Not just the rainbow bands on Thor’s kit, but on Emma Pooley’s in TTs too…
For me, it’s a big shame about the lack of argyle though.
Yes, agree with the others
Yes, agree with the others bit too much like Sky Team colours and how many times do we really need to see the sponsors logo…?
For those (like me) who’re
For those (like me) who’re more interested in the old Garmin argyle kit, check out the team issue sale on ProBikeKit.
I’m not keen, it’s just a bit
I’m not keen, it’s just a bit too black for me. The old argyle was class (though admittedly it took a while to grow on me at first).
