Hawkshead Moor Trail

A family friendly loop round Grizedale, it tours round with some of views that are seen on The North Face MTB Trail, but is all on fire road surfaces which are smoother and easier going. It’s perfect for families and mixed abilities and there are options to add in some of the singletrack as well.

The traffic-free Family Trail uses old mining railway tracks and forest roads to create a 17km loop through some of the quieter bits of the Forest.
