Merida

Merida is a Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer that predominantly sells bikes under its own brand, but also manufactures for other brands.
Merida was founded in 1972 by Ike Tseng as a sub-contractor making Raleigh-branded bikes for the North American market. The original factory was based on the layout of Raleigh's plant in Nottingham.
Today's Merida makes a full range of road and mountain bikes. Its road range includes the Reacto aero bikes, Scultura race bikes and Ride sportive bikes.
Merida was one of the last major bike manufacturers to sponsor a top-level road racing team when it began to supply bikes to the Lampre-Merida team in 2013.
