Sportful Supergiara Jersey – Technical Details
The Supergiara Jersey is available in sizes S to 3XL and comes in six colour options, now featuring a more understated, single-colour design compared to the bolder Cliff Supergiara and Sky Rider patterns we’ve tested previously.
It uses Sportful’s regular fit, which is relatively close-fitting, particularly around the arms, but not as aggressive as the brand’s slim or aero-fit offerings. It strikes a balance between comfort and performance, making it well-suited to long gravel rides. As with many Italian brands, sizing tends to run small, so it’s essential to carefully review the size guide—many riders may prefer to size up for a more relaxed fit.

Storage is a standout feature, thanks to an updated pocket layout. Instead of the previous two-tier design with overlapping mesh, the jersey now features three standard rear pockets complemented by two mesh side pockets. This setup not only improves access but also increases carrying capacity compared to most jerseys in this category, making it more practical for longer or more demanding rides.

The main fabric is polyester, with raw-cut sleeves that sit snugly without constriction. A silicone gripper at the rear hem helps keep the jersey securely in place, enhancing both comfort and stability on the bike.
Sportful Supergiara Jersey – Performance
From the first outing, the jersey felt great to wear, with soft, smooth fabric. The fit works well on the bike, with a slightly raised front and dropped tail—subtle enough to avoid feeling extreme, yet still effective for riding comfort.

The pockets are a real highlight. The central rear pocket is a standard size and easily accommodates a phone or similar item. While the two outer rear pockets are slightly smaller than on some other jerseys, they’re still deep and accessible, providing ample storage. The addition of mesh side pockets is particularly useful, ideal for stashing smaller items, such as food or a multitool.

All the contents stayed securely in place, even in the mesh side pockets, which offer enough tension to prevent things from shifting or bouncing around.
The sleeves are a good length, extending comfortably toward the elbows without veering into the territory of more extreme aero-optimised designs. They stayed put throughout the ride, as did the rear hem, which didn’t ride up excessively while riding.

Sportful Supergiara Jersey – Verdict
At £90, the Supergiara sits in the mid-range bracket for performance jerseys. While it may look relatively simple at first glance, the excellent fit and well-executed storage features make it a strong contender among similarly priced options.

I have tested the Castelli Unlimited Allroad (£115) and the Unlimited Pro with integrated bladder storage (£135). While those jerseys sit at opposite ends of the fit spectrum compared to the Supergiara, neither could quite match it for fabric quality or overall comfort.
If you’re a fan of the Supergiara’s clean, single-colour aesthetic, the latest updates, particularly the additional pockets, make this an even stronger option. Despite being labelled as a regular fit, it’s still relatively close-cut, so it’s best suited to riders who are comfortable with a snug fit. That said, the sizing is consistent, and the fabric feels good throughout. The two mesh side pockets might not seem like a game-changing addition, but I found myself using them on every ride and reaching for this jersey over most others.
