I thought I had signed up to roster updates. However, I do not seem to receive them. How do |I ensure I get them. Any help appreciated.

Log into Fantasy Cycling, go to 'My Account' in the top right. Click the box about roster updates. It only sends you an email if someone in your team withdraws from a race.

I changed it because it wasn't actually working properly. now it does work, so that's an improvement so far as i'm concerned. but take the point about the multiple emails, so i'll look into a way of amalgamating them in the new workflow.
Start lists are saved automatically, there's no save button. Hasn't been for the 2 1/2 years I've done this. But take it up with Dave if you're unhappy. I had a complaint for other users that they were being sent multiple emails about the same riders, so we changed it.
No, it really won't be more convenient and NO it was never like that before. You used to get one email with all the riders for that competition that were removed from the roster. As when I went through the database, changing all the riders out and only AFTER all changes were made for that race, you would hit save and it would auto generate emails for all users where a rider had been removed.
That set up has obviously changed and now I'm getting spammed by emails, one for every rider and having to sort through. It's a shit system.
I've attached how it used it look.

That's not how it works. Every team present in a tour is on the start list, and we go down the list making the changes necessary. The only tour this is problematic for is the Spring Classics. There also isn't a button we press to email about changes.
Before, the database would scan for when any changes were made in any start list and send an email of all changes made. This means that when we were setting up a new comp, users would be emailed about all the changes in the Spring Classics and any other ongoing tour, every single time. So Dave has changed the code to just email once about when a rider is taken out of a start list. You probably had 7 emails this morning (I had the full 8) because your teams between Ronde - Schelderprijs - Roubaix will look very different.
This will be a lot more convenient when it comes to the grand tours.
