We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the OS Mountain Mayhem Sportive sponsored by Verenti bikes. Here are the details of the weekend. Any more questions just comment below, or email us at info [at] road.cc and we'll do our best to answer them.
Getting there
Full directions to the Mountain Mayhem festival are on the OS Mountain Mayhem website. Once you've reached the Deer Park the on-site staff will be able to direct you. The sportive campsite is at the far end of the camping area, it's quieter up there so you don't be disturbed by the racing through the night. The campsite is open from Thursday afternoon through to Monday morning.
Registration
We'll be manning the road.cc tent (next to Wiggle) from about 2pm on Saturday through to the evening, and we'll be back there at 7am-8am on the Sunday. Bring a form of ID with your name on it, a credit card is fine. If you've booked more than one place we'll need to take the names of the other riders.
Currently there are still places for on-the-day registration, which will be CASH ONLY.
When you register you'll receive your timing chip and backup map for the ride. If you've booked multiple places we'll need to take the names of all riders. Feel free to ask us any questions and we'll do our best to answer them!
Bike fettling
There will be a full toolkit and some rudimetary spares at the road.cc stand if your bike needs a bit of pre-ride love. Pop by on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning if you'd like to make use of the facilities.
Saturday beers
We'll be having a few beers on the road.cc stand on Saturday night, come over and grab a cold* one and say hi! First come first served...
*ones may not be all that cold
Ride start
The start will be open from 8am to 9am on Sunday. Your chip will record your individual time over the course.
Helmets
Helmets are compulsory. This isn't a moral stance but a stipulation of the event insurers, so please respect the rule.
Route
The route will be waymarked throughout and every rider will be issued with a backup map, just in case. If you use a GPS then routes and tracks are downloadable from the bottom of this page. There will be Marshals at major junctions.
Feed stations
There will be two feed stations on the 100km route at 38km and 75km, and one feed station on the 50km route at the half way point. Drinks, energy gels and snacks will be available.
Post ride
Post ride you can collect your goody bag from the finish area. You'll be able to check your time on the day and we'll send out a personalised finishing certificate the week after the ride.

Works for me with Mac Safari when I right click (or ctrl click) 'download linked file'. Yes, just clicking on it opens the file.
just save that file from your browser as mayhem.gpx or whatever. that's what a gpx file looks like inside
not sure why it isn't resolving as a file, sorry...
All of them.
When I click on them, it just comes up with stuff like this -:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>

Never mind, it'll just have to be the paper version!
Regards,
Mark.
