Ask a pro cyclist which type of rider they think will do best on a tough mountain stage, and often the answer will be "a mountain goat."
We're not sure whether this particular goat, filmed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, is aiming for a podium place in a Grand Tour, but in this video he seems to be okay with the whole bicycle thing as he clings onto his owner.

The goat is wearing neither high-viz nor a helmet!
I’m not sure about the rider – its possible that controlled studies would show that wearing a goat is more effective at giving protection in a collision than wearing a helmet. This needs further investigation.
I mean, if there’s even a chance it will save your life, why wouldn’t you wear a goat?
This bloke is quite well
This bloke is quite well known in Addis Ababa. The photos that I have are of him with a different goat…..read whatever meaning you wish into that….
