Thanks – I hadn’t managed to find that one – I had seen a comment elsewhere that they were the same as Fuetobicci wheels but I personally think not – ZeroCX seem lighter & appear to have better? hubs with ceramic bearings – they do seem to be too good to be true –

It happened to me once on my mountain bike in the Peaks- downhill rocky trail – BANG – like a shotgun going off – then oh s**t head first into a drystone wall – no control as tyre & tube fight to see which is going to make the biggest tangled mess – outcome dented helmet (never ride without one now!!) dislocated thumb, torn waterproof (new) knackered tyre. All in all an expensive episode. Went for ceramic rims after that (was before discs were comon place). Sounds like man from the north had a lucky escape. Keep checkin’ ’em. Mind you that rim didn’t seen too wornSimon

There’s a silver 11.5 one on ebay – apparently other sizes available – Seller is ‘carltoncycles’ cost is 49 quidSimon
Thanks Dave
You’re right
Thanks Dave
You’re right about building wheels not being a black art – pretty straight forward with Roger M’s Wheelpro book – you just gotta take you time – mind you i am pretty good with hands on stuff.
As for riding – racking up the miles – hopefully a sportive or two. However I would probably go for something more on the racy side of things. Weight 11.5 stone ish but hope to lose the “crimbo pud”
If i was to build – what rims for a nice lightweight set of hoops
Thanks again

Lets hope so eh!! And lets hope they all behave themselves!! sure they will.
Can only be good for cycling in this country – our sport whether road, track, mountain, trials, bmx or whatever needs as much positive publicity as possible. Who knows we may be acceepted as something other than fringe wierdos by the general sloth-like public. -
