Think there will be a significant spread of choices today

I would have gone Izagirre too.  Strongly considered Madouas, but went Lambrecht instead.

I spent the budget on Alaphillipe, Valverde and Sagan so that limited of my options, hence I have

    Julian Alaphilippe (QST)

    Alejandro Valverde (MOV)

    Michal Kwiatkowski (SKY)

    Alberto Bettiol (EFE)

    Peter Sagan (BOH)

    Mathieu van der Poel (COC)

    Bjorg Lambrecht (LTS)

    Marc Hirschi (SUN)

I would have picked Valverde & Madouas rather than Matthews & Gilbert if I had known Izagirre wasn’t starting.

    My team for today –

    ALAPHILIPPE
    MATTHEWS
    GILBERT
    WELLENS
    FUGLSANG
    VAN AERT
    BETTIOL
    VAN DER POEL

Not 100% happy. I would have arranged things differently if I had known Izagirre wasn’t racing.

I wasn’t brave enough to take a punt on Madouas, I think he could surprise today.

Lucky I dod a midnight check

Lucky I dod a midnight check on rider changes.

Ion Izagirre out – Ion is still recovering from his GC win at @ehitzulia

How much did he drink after ???

Lucky I have loads of transfers remaining.

Shockingly good line up for Amstel.  Where to begin….

Yes, difficult to know which way to go, lots of possibilities.

Tempted to drop Wellens because it will be a bit warm for is liking.

Does Naesen have a chance? No tipsters seem to give him a shout.

Will it be too tough for Schachmann ?

    Valverde too expensive ?

All this and Ilkley Moor 500 yards up the hill from me is burning.

I didn’t really expect him to win…just a decent place. Did he blow up?

He got caught by Matthews, Wellens, Alaphilippe & Van der Poel.

They then all worked togther to build a gap and then Impey blew up on the first climb they went hard on.

    COLBRELLI

    SMITH D.

Went for a couple of outside bets in Lambrecht & Smith. Not too sure about Smith as he missed Itzulia with illness but didn’t fancy picking Impey.

I should have gone with Peron for the break as a safe bet and 10 points.

    I expect most people with

I expect most people with enough transfers left will have 6 of the same riders.

So De Brabantse Pijl competition will probably come down to the two remaining picks.

If you run it I will

If you run it I will participate.

A few names I know in the obscure teams, I know a Kobayoshi and Pierantozzi reasonably well but nothing to do with cycling.

    I think moving the race

I think moving the race forward was a big mistake.

It clashes with the classics and doesn’t fit in with riders preparation for the Giro & TdF.

Not surprising the turnout of top teams is getting worse.

If you do the Tour of the Alps will it count towards the season competitions?

    Strongest rider won today.

    Strongest rider won today.

Very unlucky for Van Aert, so many problems and so much energy wasted chasing back on.

Vanmarcke with awful luck again, bike change right near the end.

Reasonable result for me I think, I never considered Gilbert after he was ill last week.

Wishing I had got Senechal in there now, I think he could be the surprise winner today.

Well played Minardi and Gecko…Good wins…

Glad Minardi has come out of his run of bad luck. …back in the game. Second in the purist for me for the second game running….I can see a pattern developing.

    Thanks Dr Winston.

Hopefully I can build on this result.

Looks like I may have my highest stage score ever, 303 I make it.

Hopefully enough to take the win in the standard competition.

Can we introduce a 20 point bonus for unused transfers please ?
