Hi all, I’m looking to potentially upgrade my Bontrager Aeolus 51 Pro wheelset to something else, and have been looking at Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 wheels, but the Vision Metron 45 RS wheelset also look very good with great reviews. I looked at Hunt wheels as well and their top of the range wheelset seem quite a bit cheaper than the others, but not sure what others’ expericence has been with those. Some friends say yes, and some say the hubs can be troublesome?

Any recommendations for any other 45/50mm wheelsets are welcome.

I hear great things abut DCR

I hear great things abut DCR – there is a Cardiff based company, PuraVelo who also hand build wheels, not sure how good ghey are though.

That said, I have a set of Vision Metron 40SL wheels that are absolutely beautiful. The hubs and bearings are top notch and they’ve been durable too.
