Velogames’ Spring Classics

Velogames’ Spring Classics comp is open and is more in tune with the road.cc game. You have 24 transfers to use between MSR and LBL. There are also 2 different categories of races, so the monuments and Amstel score more points.

Strategies that I’ve used in the past 2 years include saving around 15 transfers for the Ardennes week. There’s a setting on the team selection page where you can see all riders in the game and not just ones for MSR, similar to how we used to do it. This is the Velogames game that requires the most strategy, so for those missing road.cc fantasy, this might be more up your street.

Not sure I’ve seen a transfer

Not sure I’ve seen a transfer fantasy game anywhere else. It’s why a lot of people I’ve spoken to stopped playing this game, it was just too time consuming. The majority of folk want simplicity. A transfer game might still exist, but I haven’t seen one.

Well it appears Velogames isn’t overly good at getting races up too quick either. 🙁
Submitted a team for Etoile de Besseges just before the deadline passed, but there was no comp open for Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, so presumed they werent doing it! Only to log in now and see it was opened late (less than 6 hrs before the deadline) and obvs deadline has passed. 🙁
Almost impossible with the timezone here in Aust. HOPEFULLY this improves.

with the PCS game you can pick a team for every stage but it doesn’t have transfers or a budget limit. You pick whoever you want.

Hi All,

After the sad demise of this great game, I see many of you have crossed over to Velogames. From what I can see of Velogames, there are no intra-tour rider transfers for stage races. Is that correct? 

And if so, does anyone know of any other game that offers this feature? As I’m sure you’d all agree, the rider transfers is what transforms the game from one based on luck, to one that involves “skill,” knowledge and planning.

I tried creating a Velogames

I tried creating a Velogames Forum thread but I couldn’t post it.

So started here –

I am regretting not having Narvaez now but pretty happy I didn’t have Williams.

I am guessing Williams is aiming to peak later in the season this year and isn’t in the best of form for this TDU.
