Hi, I’ve just just purchased a mavic ksyrium Elite UST wheel set. They come with tyres but don’t seem have good reviews.
Any suggestions out there?

The older tyre they used to

The older tyre they used to come with was a bit ropey but the the current ones are good and score well on https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/road-bike-reviews/mavic-yksion-pro-ust-2018

The easiest tubeless setup you can get.

The wheels are quite good too !

The only issue I had was getting the sprockets off as the spindle is a bit soft, so I had to get the lbs to do that.

I’d suggest you use them and enjoy the riding. The Ksyrium Elite UST wheels I bought last year have been brilliant, easy to set up and fully deserving of the reviews they’ve had.

I’ve only heard good things
I’ve only heard good things about the Mavic tubeless tyres as they’re basically rebadged Hutchinson ones.

It’s the old, non tubeless Mavic tyres that are supposed to be dreadful.

I’ve got no experience of the old Mavic tyres but have used Hutchinson tubeless tyres a lot and they’re some of the best out there.

So I’d say save your money, go riding on them and come to your own conclusions.
