Bought these TPU tubes from Ali Express… 65mm metal valves for my 50mm wheelset, 36g weight, 5 quid a pop… Paired with an electric mini pump, goodbye saddle bag!

Plenty of mates have tubeless, but I’m giving these a crack to avoid the mess, expense and heavy tyres. I’ll keep you updated with how they fare!

If you buy them direct from AliExpress you should be able to get ridenow mnes for just over a fiver a pop… At that price I don’t really see the need to go cheaper. That’s good the ones with metal valves too which are more robust and more importantly look bling on the bike

I’m currently testing tpu tubes with inner tube sealant – all the main brands like rene herse, mucoff, x sauce and Joes. Anyone got any long term experiences using tpu tubes with inner tube sealant? In general I use the ‘ride now’ tpu tubes, shown on the picture (these are the best, but currently seeking out cheaper alternatives like cyclami).

Yes these are working well so far. Not sure what some people are smoking paying £30+ a tube as these work fine for a fiver a pop.

I’m becoming tempted for my commuter bike. Plenty of sealant in there, but this week I’ve been pumping up at least one tyre every morning and every afternoon before leaving work. It only takes two minutes, but still…

Still 90% happy with tubeless as it’s never made me stop and remove a wheel during a ride, which is a bit of a faff on either my commuter or my Brompton which both have internal hub gearing.

To be honest I have gone to TPU from tubeless. It does allow a lighter tyre and the comfort is very good ; although this will depend on your tyre. I haven’t punctured yet but always found tubeless caused a bit of a mess , especially at road pressures. Overall I’m happy to keep things the way they now are. There is no build up of dried sealant in the tyres ; I’m fairly sure that without a regular stripdown the system weight steadily increases with tubeless. The ride is very comfortable.

@Subway Surfers Online Have you noticed much difference in ride comfort and puncture resistance with these TPU tubes compared with tubeless, especially on longer rides and when using the electric mini pump?
