Time NXR sizing

I’m interested in the Time NXR, frame only, to replace my SL6 Tarmac, which although wonderful is rather ‘racy’ and getting a bit low for my ageing body.

The Tarmac has a stack of 544 and reach of 384, for size 54; but I’m not sure what NXR size to go for? The obvious one is a M, which gives a higher stack, but the TT on that is really long (although reach seems fine – go figure).

Alternatively, I could just get a Defy frame…

    Any thoughts?

i have the NXR’s prececessor – the Alp d’Huez disc, I came from a 54cm Scott Addict and maybe like yourself assumed that the M was the size for me. Time size a bit larger in my experience and I would be between sizes, I could have gone for the S or the M.
I went for the M and used a zero setback seatpost and a slightly shorter stem than my Scott (100mm instead of110mm) and slightly narrower bars (40cm instead of 42cm), in doing so I only have 20mm of headset spacers rather than more with the S frame.
Finishing kit on mine is Deda throughout (Superbox stem, Superzero 40cm alloy bars, Superzero zero carbon seatpost, groupset is SRAM Force E1 (170mm cranks down from 172.5mm) with FFWD Ryot 44s with DT Swiss 240 hubs, BB is Enduro BKC- 0899 for 29mm spindle of SRAMand ceramic bearings, TPU tubes in 28mm Conti GP5000s.
Quality of the frameset is next level if a bit heavier than ultra light frames, but feels rock solid and for me that’s a price worth paying.
