So, I complained about the BBC edited footage of the driver who assaulted the Swindon Wheelers ride and it was upheld. Clearly they had a few complaints because this was their response:
“In video journalism it’s common to use shorter versions of longer videos and the shorter version we used here appeared alongside text which explained at the outset that the motorist received a caution.
However we subsequently added a sentence to the accompanying text which explained that the incident took place “after the motorist overtook the group then brake checked them”.
