Even though the gov’t own figures ( https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/371096/claiming_the_health_dividend.pdf ) show that “active travel investments have a “very high” expected benefit-to-cost ratio of £5.62 per £1 spent.” ( https://www.theguardian.com/news/2023/mar/20/cuts-cycling-walking-budget-england-cost-more-long-term-labour )
