Article in the Andover Advertiser which has some stats on the Hants SNAP portal for reporting dangerous driving.

There were 261 submissions from August 2019 to June 2020 with formal action for 29% of those.

There were 216 submissions since the start of July with formal action for 46% of those.

I’ve submitted a few videos to Hants SNAP. Lack of feedback was making me wonder if they were just binning them, so good to hear they’re actually taking some action.

There is nothing to stop you

There is nothing to stop you copying it to a pc. How would you upload it if you didn’t ?

It does have the requirement not to delete the item from the device but that will give some people a problem where the device does not allow a file to be marked as read only.

important points here are that the footage must be on the original medium, i.e. not copied to a PC, not edited (obvs) and must contain 1-2 minutes either side of the incident.

They also posted the stats on Twitter together with a few clips.   I’d reported quite a few and also neer heard anything – but managed to get hold of the email of one of the team.  He tells me that they are planning to get a short piece on Meridian or ITV South news at some point.    They have also now officially launched the service (up til now it was just a pilot) but it still doesn’t sound like we’ll get any individual feedback.
