    Hi there,

I am in the market for a new bike as our cycle2work scheme has just opened. I don’t need a new bike, I just want one and the scheme is really worth taking advantage of. I am looking for a hybrid commuter for use on roads, hard pack cycle route and canal tow path. It’s only about 7 miles each way but also for use on family rides at the weekend and bumbling around town.

The choice is seemingly endless but I keep getting drawn back to the Ribble Hybrid AL.

Does anybody have experience of this bike and/or ribble as a company?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    JAY

    Don’t forget the bike looks

Don’t forget the bike looks absolutely awesome đŸ™‚ Bet you can’t wait for it to arrive. Did you get the fully loaded version? I’m considering it as I’d probably use the panier if it was there, or I could easily remove it. I’ll be getting mudguards and bell anyway, plus it comes with lights. I’m getting excited.

    I’ve just ordered mine! I’m

I’ve just ordered mine! I’m riding a 30 year-old clunker and wanted a simple, single crank, lightweight bike, with 650b wheels rather than a suspension fork, for country lanes and gentle off-road stuff. Choice was between Whyte Portobello, Kona Dew Plus and the AL. Chose the AL on the basis that it has a great spec’ and they gave me an anticipated delivery date in June. I couldn’t get a Kona until October – and couldn’t get any info at all, on the Whyte availability! Ribble seem to be on top of their game…but only time will tell. Hope this helps?
