Long sleeved summer top

I know this sounds a bit strange but I am looking for a light, long sleeved summer top to give me a bit more UV protection through the sunny months. I am on some pretty horrible medication, one of the side effects of which is that I cannot protect myself from UV and I have to wear high factor sunblock even on overcast days.
Does anyone know of a good top, I have the usual fleecy tops which are too warm for summer use and a long sleeved jersey from Planet X which is predominantly black and I wanted something a bit lighter for the summer months. Any suggestions please?

Good call, very pleased with mine. They also do a very light UV50 skull cap to go under a helmet which I also use for UV protection, being follicly challenged.

    Sun exposure is the least

Sun exposure is the least worrying side effect but it is the one that I can do something about.  I will feed back once I have tried the sleeves.

Sorry to read about the side

Sorry to read about the side effects of your medication.

Would be interested in your opinion of these sleeves once you’ve worn them a few times.

Likewise. I’d defo go for the light-weight arm screens and summer short-sleeve jersey. I’ve got a pair of Morvelo ones. SPF50 and really light.

I have some Grib Grab UV arm

I have some Grib Grab UV arm screens which I wear with a normal jersey. They are rated at UPF 50+ UV protection and are ultra light and thin, in both black and white. Recommended. I did have some dhb Aeron UV ones, but they were a bit thicker and Wiggle would not say if they were UV rated, so I didn’t trust them. Most ‘average’ jerseys will give you reasonable cover – some ‘summer’ ones have very thin backs which can be dangerous. I’m red headed and very cautious, but I’ve never been burnt through my dhb Classic jerseys or a discontinued Rapha one (now Core).

    One of the Stolen Goat

One of the Stolen Goat bodyline long sleeve jerseys.  Proper summer weight, really well made and durable.  There’s about half a dozen long sleeve styles

Not the Orkaan ones, though.  They’re a bit thicker – spring weight really, or when its raining a bit.  Orkaan are not windproof which makes them fine for warmer damp rides – I overheat in anything windproof.
