    Hello,

I’ve made a webpage that lets you upload a pre-planned route, and it lets you search for waypoints – eg shops, water taps, camp sites etc along the route.

    https://pitstopper.net

I initially started it as I wanted a way to find shops and water stops along a route whilst on holiday and I couldn’t find anything else that coud do this. Features got added and it eventually became what it is today.

There are still some bugs to iron out, but I’m happy to have any feedback or suggestions for features I’ve not thought to, but hopefully it may be a useful tool to some people when planning routes in places they’ve not been to before.

Thanks – that’s kinda why I made it! I’ll be doing the Equinox Omniloop in march, and I’ve found some water taps on the route – which will be helpful!

It’s UK, well, I’m in the UK, but it could work for anyone anywhere. I can make it more british, maybe at soome point have differnet translations.

    Not disparaging this
Not disparaging this excellent endeavour, and I will try it out, but don’t Garmin and Google already do this? Maybe this does it more comprehensively?

I don’t know if it’s US designed but it works well with UK routes as far as I can see – just uploaded the GPX from Sunday’s ride (60km loop central London- Hampton Court – central London) as a test and it came up with lots of useful information (well lots of information that would be useful if I didn’t already know the route like the back of my hand), I can see this being a handy tool for riding in unfamiliar areas. Wish we’d had it for our Loch Ness century ride in May, might have discovered that our assumption that most of the villages we were passing through would have a pub/cafe/village shop open was wildly optimistic!
